This is a Special Edition of The Hollywood Outsider that answers the question that we get asked every single week - What the hell are you guys talking about on the outtakes?? So we decided once or twice a month, we would do an episode outside the normal scope of our show and about geekiness in general. No format. No prep. Just HO’s and our subconscious.

This 1st Edition we ramble over our love of comic books, why it’s taken so long to get comic book movies right, should the next generation of gaming be online only, are we overwhelmed by technology?, and finally we settle a HO Nerd War…who IS the best talent - JJ Abrams or Joss Whedon?

A HO Special Edition: An Interview with ‘Camp’ writer/director Jacob Roebuck

On this Special Edition of The Hollywood Outsider, Aaron sits down with Camp writer / director Jacob Roebuck and talk about his new film ‘Camp’, the true stories that influenced the film, the camps that inspired the film, as well as the trials of an independent filmmaker to get his film made.

Camp is a story about Ken, a self-absorbed Financial Advisor who takes on volunteering at a summer camp for foster kids in order to win a new client. When his new camper, Eli, is assigned to him and Ken realizes how difficult Eli truly is, Ken is at first frustrated with his situation. As he comes to know what causes Eli’s pain, Ken and Eli finally begin to understand each other just a little bit better.

The HObbit Spoilercast - A HO Special Edition

Chambers has coached some of the most influential young actors of their respective generations and is now in the process of spreading the word of Sandcastle Publishing’s Chambie Awards, which Sandcastle named in honor of Chambers himself. An interesting interview with a very interesting man about his experiences and his craft.

Episode 9 - Happy, Happy Halloween

It is Episode 9 of The Hollywood Outsider and we are finally starting our decent into Halloween. It might be early, but there is plenty to talk about.
